I It was never just a number, it was a test wearing a symbol. A shadow asking the soul who it truly belongs to. II It spread through trade and thrones, through hunger dressed as peace. Not burned into flesh, but pressed into allegiance. III The world bowed to convenience, called survival wisdom. Truth was hunted into corners, and courage learned to whisper. IV But the count ran out of breath. The shadow met a louder name. What rose on fear collapsed in fire, and the false crown cracked. V Then light claimed what it always owned. V Yes, I know I went straight for your heart, Pulled the thread till the fabric gave way. I should’ve run, disappeared into distance, No undoing, no mercy for what we became. VI And I hear what you’ll say: “It’s too late.” No excuses, no hands left to hold. Still, if time ever loosened its grip, I’d return in a breath, just to lo...

The Home You Never Leave

Image
I Through all my years upon this earth, I’ve wandered through the minds of many, Sojourned across distant places and borrowed walls, Homes I once departed from, Yet somehow never truly left. II A home I return to in my quiet hours, Where fear is rewritten and love takes new shape, Where pain is repainted in softer colours, Making release gentler than remembrance. III As fresh memories are formed, the home reveals itself, Etching its essence into the very fibres of who I am. IV So when the pull pushes you away, And the push draws you nearer, It is not the past calling you back, It is the home, reminding you never left. . ©2026
