Decision Making

Image
Every tear shed is born either from the weight of lasting pain or the sting of a fleeting deception. Quick to listen slow to action pays the ultimate price in decision making.

LESSONS IN THE SHADOWS

Image
I It’s wise to watch where others fall, Their stumbles teach, though faint and small. In every flaw, a light we find, To guide the steps we leave behind. II But if we wait for pain to show, Before we learn which way to go, Then wisdom comes at heavy cost, A crown of pride, but all else lost. III So heed the faults that others make, And dodge the road they failed to take. For learning late through personal strife, Is folly dressed in lessons of life. .

Compromise

Image
Reject that which contradicts your very being, for a life of compromise is a life unfulfilled.

Tolerance

Image
Do not indulge in that which you cannot abide, for the weight of prolonged tolerance is a burden too great to bear.

Nucleus Of Goodness

Image
The nucleus of goodness dwells within the midst of our daily interactions; the challenge lies in deciphering the map to the right mentor.

Failing

Image
No matter how much you try not to fail in life,  there's one you can't escape from. You will surely fail to live forever.

Service and Reward

Image
Always remember, your service to others won’t always match their reward. Sometimes, you’ll meet rare souls who bless you beyond what you gave. But more often, you’ll find many who repay less than you poured in. Serve anyway, for greatness isn’t measured by return, but by the heart behind the giving.

Evil and its Undoing

Image
Evil brews just a stone's throw away; but to undo its spell, you'll need a sun that shines through rain and an eclipse that waits on command.

Experience

Image
There is great profit in learning from the ignorance of others, for in their missteps, we find wisdom for our path. But to insist on drawing wisdom solely from our own painful experiences is to flirt with folly.

A Heart's Reckoning

Image
I Some hearts, though yearning for kindness, falter at its gate. Unable to repay the gift, their hands remain too late. Before you pour your goodness like a river's gentle flow, Consider the recipient's heart, and the kindness that it may know. II For sharing your light with those who cannot see, May lead to shadows of regret and a heart that's weary. The wrong recipient may turn your gift to pain, Leaving you with sorrow and a heart in vain. III So, choose wisely, to whom you give your heart, For kindness, like a boomerang, may return to its start. And though it's noble to give, it's wise to know, The heart that receives it, and the love that it may show. ©2024
